School Counselor N-G

BS - Psychology: Morehouse College - 1993

MS - Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling: Georgia State University - 1996

Certification - School Guidance Counseling: State University of West Georgia - 2000

My career as an educator began just after high school as I worked my way through college partly as a swimming instructor.  In 1999, I became a teacher for At-Risk-Youth in a residential wilderness setting camp where I worked with males ages 12 -18.  In 2007, I became a School Counselor in a similar setting servicing males and females ages 5 - 21.  During my career so far, I've experienced and developed a variety traditional and alternative educational and counseling strategies which allows me to provide well-rounded guidance to the students I service.

I am a fitness enthusiast who enjoys all kinds of physical activities ranging from hiking and paddling to swimming and weight training.  I am a professional football fan who has grown to enjoy fantasy football, and I even play a video game from time to time.  My main artistic passion is West African Drumming for which  I am a professional and therapeutic facilitator.

"To help the students I service discover the skills they can develop to make the world a better place."
