Buddies Enrichment Trip

BRIDGES Buddies are invited to an enrichment trip, to say thanks for helping our freshmen this school year! We will be going to the World of Coke on Wednesday, May 15th.  The cost is $15.00.  See Mrs. Whitfield (Peavy) for a form, to turn in your form and money or if you have any questions!

 Time for Tutoring

    BRIDGES Tutoring has ended for Spring 2013!  

 College Visits  

Students will be given the opportunity to visit Georgia Perimeter College on March 21st.  Permission forms available beginning February 5th and due to Ms. Peavy by March 11th.

We will also visit Kennesaw State University for the second time on April 4th.  Permission forms available March 12th and due to Ms. Peavy by March 29th. 

On Saturday, April 6th we will attend a Preview Day at Jacksonville State University in Alabama. Permission forms available March 12th and due to Ms. Peavy by March 29th.

We will attend West Georgia Technical College's Spring Fling on April 18th.  Permission forms available April 1st and due to Ms. Peavy by April 15th.  

 

                                        What is BRIDGES?

    BRIDGES is a program funded by a five-year federal grant awarded to the Douglas County School System in the summer of 2008.  All five high schools are sharing this grant.  The overall goal of the grant is to improve the graduation rate and to prepare students for success in college, technical school, or a career after high school.

 

 What kinds of activities does BRIDGES sponsor?
