Welcome to Alexander High School, where our mission is to provide a quality education for all students in a safe, supportive environment designed to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Alexander High School is one of three schools in the state to offer the distinguished AP Capstone Diploma program. This program has a two-course sequence: AP Seminar and AP Research and complements the rigor of AP courses and exams. The 15-16 school year is the first time that students will be eligible to graduate with an AP Capstone Diploma, which can grant them admission to some of the most prestigious, nationally ranked universities in the country. The concerted efforts of our teachers and staff, our students, parents, and community leaders have helped to make our school successful in its endeavors to provide challenging academic programs such as this.
At AHS, all students can capture the spectrum of the high school experience. Our unique assets include courses in Information Technology, Auto-Technology, and Agriculture. It is our belief that students flourish in educational environments where they have a myriad of extracurricular and course offerings, dual enrollment opportunities, a distinguished AP program, and highly qualified teachers. We also celebrate Natalie Young as our the Teacher of the Year for 2015-2016.
Alexander is proud to broadcast that over 150 Scholar Athletes were awarded this year, having earned a 3.5 GPA or better.
