SOCCER CAMPS FOR THE COMMUNITY

2017

SSA

Go to cougarsoccer.ezregister.com for details and online registration or click here for a mail-in registration form. All camps take place at Alexander HS and are conducted by

Southern Soccer Academy:

  • January (TBD) (k-7 Graders) for field players and goalkeepers. A fun camp.  AHS players will assist the coaches. At times it wil look like each camper has a personal coach! How cool is that?
  • June (TBD)(K12) for field players and goalkeepers.

PLAYERS

GET READY!

  • June: Alumni Game. Returning prospective varsity players will play against AHS soccer alumni.
  • Fall 2017: Do as much as possible

    • THE GAME IS THE BEST TEACHER! If you do not play in a club team during the fall, you are missing out and your player development will slow down significantly. Georgia Storm and SSA are the closest clubs.
    • If playing in a club is not feasible, but you still want to play during the fall and before the season at reasonable prices, check out the following: SSA Indoor or the Amateur Premier League
    • Run cross country. Players who run cross country in the fall are usually in better shape than the rest of their teammates. Contact Coach Railey at: jeffrey.railey@douglas.k12.ga.us
    • Register for a Weight Training Class. Based on your schedule and program of study, you may register for a single or a blocked class. See your coach for details.

  • All Year:  Improve Your Touch and Footwork. Get ready for the season by improving your touch and footwork. Just invest a few minutes daily on touch development drills. You can find many on YOUTUBE.
