 Academics:

• Ms. Chapman's Banking and Finance classes took a field trip to the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta on October 6, 2-009.

Clubs:

• NHS inducted over 60 new members at AHS on Tuesday October 13.
• FBLA has also inducted over 60 members.
  
• DECA is a new marketing club sponsored by Mr. Lewis. They already have 19 paid members. 

Sports:

• Cheerleading Competition Squad placed 2nd at their competition.
• Volleyball ended the season with a 25-5-1 record.

Teachers:

• Ryan Adams is the Douglas County Teacher of the Year! Go, Ryan!

Students:

• Congratulations to senior Quanisha Madison for representing AHS as October's Hightower Citizen of the Month.  Look for her picture in the Sentinel in the weeks to come.   Quanisha's nominating teacher was Ms. Pamela Jarek.  Way to go Quanisha!
