Bio

I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL on a sunny summer day.  I attended St. Petersburg Jr. College and graduated with an AA degree. I moved to Reno, Nevada to work as a wildland firefighter for the Bureau of Land Management for several seasons.  I then attended the U. of NV- Reno and completed my BS in Special Education.  My husband and I met as firefighters and married in 1984.  We moved to Georgia to be closer to family in 1989.  We have 2 children, now grown and graduated from AHS.   I substituted for Douglas County for 8 years and attended U. of West GA for my MS degree in Special Education.  My husband and I love to camp, rock hunt and travel around the U.S.
